A simple life of solitude in the mountains of the Shattered Peaks. A roaring fire in his hearth, and a bottle of hooch in his hand. The sound of his guitar, and blankets of snow to muffle his lamenting songs of longing and regret. After barely escaping death, these simple distractions were all Nosstam wanted-and far more than he thought he deserved. But when a foreigner on a ritualistic pilgrimage to the top of a volcano inadvertently crosses his path, Noss is forced to reckon with how far he'll go to help a stranger while facing a past he'd rather leave forgotten.
