The horror comedy sequel to Squirrels: Protect Your Nuts! Mayor Delbert Stern decides to hold a rootin tootin bluegrass jamboree to bring prosperity (and voters) into Harton's Crossing after the big disaster. The last of autumn lingers, and hunting season is off with a bang. But when newly arrived squirrels inexplicably go on murder sprees, bloody havoc ensues ... and it turns out they're not the only homicidal maniacs in town. Meanwhile, OPP Inspector Colin Mackenzie gets himself into some serious trouble.
Forced on leave, he teams up with coroner Donna Young to discover the truth behind the bloodthirsty squirrels and a crazed chainsaw killer, and the possible link between them. And he doesn't know her dreadful secret ... As preparations for the jamboree roll along like jolly bales of hay, the local brass band learns songs like Cripple Creek, fiddles and banjos resound through speakers and more visitors arrive, murders pile up and previously-sane people go berserk. While reporter Moe Smiley figures he's got a great story, the mayor is trying to hush it all up, and Colin and Donna race against time to save the town.
