The storm over the North has broken-and with it, the fragile balance of the realms. Giants roam unchecked, villages burn, and ancient powers stir beneath the mountains. Half-elf ranger Sereggul Bladesong, clever gnome Gawin Wildbelch, the mysterious elf wizard Angaea, and the grim drow cleric Arthgath find themselves drawn from one peril to the next: the besieged town of Nightstone, the deadly halls of Grudd Haug, and finally into the company of Harshnag the Grim, a frost giant who seeks the Eye of the All-Father.
Together they must face enemies far greater than themselves and discover the truth behind the broken ordning-or watch the world fall to ruin beneath a storm of giants.
