On online platforms like Midjourney or Dallé2, following the editorial protocol known as "Prompt" images emerge instantaneously, efficiently, nearly flawlessly.
These visual sketches can then, guided by Al software, expand their resolution to transform into grand-format photographs. lmagine, for example, the almost cost-free and instantaneous appearance of a 3D image : a luxury bag, held by a model atop the Eiffel Tower. The question then arises : that of the true economic model of these Al supports, their objectivity, their future commercial intentions, as well as the implications inherent in the cost economy of production for creative professionals.
All the images within this photographic book have been fully or partially conceived by artificial intelligence, guided by the artistic talent of five international authors : Tinbrain, Bengt Tibert, Frenchfryearrings, dissociative_dreams (Jess MacCormack), and lemoon synthography. The conversational intelligence of Chat GPT has also played a role in translating the text from French to English and co-creating the work.
It is indisputable : without the author's initiative, this book would never have come into existence. But what about the overlooked expertise during the crafting of this masterpiece ? Writers, translators, retouchers, photographers, stylists, models, makeup artists, photographic production houses... a wealth of skills brought to a standstill. Every advancement deserves exploration. However, the current silence of thinkers, sociologists, and creators regarding its limitations concerns me.
Why such withdrawal ? Perhaps the tool has already corrupted us. This book is neither critique nor platform.
