If someone is saying no verbally, but they are proceeding with sex non-verbally, it is good to clarify. It is good to ensure that you check with them again to cover yourself. Are you sure that they want to continue? Or might you have misread the sign?  This way, you can protect yourself and ensure that any sexual interactions between you both remain consensual.
