Svenskt Tenn was founded in 1924 in Stockholm, Sweden, by the pioneering designer and entrepreneur Estrid Ericson. Initially a workshop and retail store dedicated to pewter, Svenskt Tenn's range was quickly expanded by Ericson, creating one of the most successful home furnishings and interior design companies of the twentieth century. At the heart of the company are the magnificent textiles and furniture created by acclaimed Austrian - born architect and designer Josef Frank, who began working with the company in the 1930s.
