It's been two years since the events of Dove Season, and Jimmy is living the quiet life in California's Imperial Valley. Jimmy still occasionally needs an outlet from the boredom. That outlet comes in the form of his best friend, Bobby, who is single, volatile as ever, and a walking chaos machine. The two head to the high desert to search for her, unconcerned that they have no plan and no idea what they're doing.
