The illusion of his youth is shattered when Artem learns of the prejudice and second-class treatment many Mythic receive in Wneerian society as a whole. As a result of these injustices the rise of an organization known as the Originators rose up in order to push the humans out of their native lands. Feeling Wneeri is leading its politics too deep into degrading Mythics, Griffinhaven closes its borders to Wneeri, but as a result many attempting to emigrate to Griffinhaven began to camp outside the borders, creating a pop-up town.
Tentare returns for revenge, looking to take back Artem from the Vampir, assured in her claim over the young man, but the couple are nowhere to be found... Feeling uneasy about their former teacher asking a number of questions concerning his best friend, Malcolm steps up to try and interfere with her needling, using his connection with the Front Team to try and investigate the shady woman.
