When three-year-old Abi vanishes from her aunt's secluded New England home on a bright summer day in 1989, her young cousins are determined to find her. There is something - or someone - watching them from the edge of the forest, but the adults are too busy picking at old wounds to notice. As the group set off on their mission through their late grandmother's sprawling estate, lies will start to unravel, buried family secrets will come to light, and long-awaited plans will be irrevocably set in motion.
