America is now a democracy-in-name-only. The voice and participation of the people, thus their influence on and control of the government, has been totally vanquished. Big money, special interest groups, lobbies, corporations, the ruling elite, even other nations, now dictate policy and create a future which ignores the will, values, and quality of life of the vast majority of U. S. citizens. The only hope for turning this around is to reclaim power for the people.
