Lucy Ruthers works as a copywriter for a boss she has had a crush on since starting at the agency.  He, however, seems to have little regard for her work, so being invited to his much-publicised family home to work on an important client pitch comes as a surprise.   The very affluent Wright family, however, prove to be nothing like they appear in the media and Lucy finds herself adrift in a sea of peculiar conflicts, clandestine relationships and family misunderstandings as the household prepares for a big birthday bash she had no idea was to form part of the weekend's activities. Battling to keep up with the crazy twists and turns of the Wright household, Lucy finds the house packed to the rafters with an odd assortment of friends and family and fraught with confusing undertones that seem to come with serious wealth.
