The war of the gods has come to the Itiwana, and survival means sacrifice. Pahana, chieftain of the Itiwana, has one final plan to save his people from destruction, even though it sacrifices his well-being. Weak and dying, he knows he can no longer lead his people, so Pahan announces his son will help Calian lead the final battle. While Naya-Nazgai and Pinga risk everything to retrieve the flute of Kokopelli, the Itiwana fight to protect the Tree of Life and Kia prepares to face the deadly Skadega-Muth.
At the same time, many of the Itiwana turn to the powerful Naya-Nazgani to lead the warriors of the Two Horn Riders, dividing the Itiwana. As the Tree of Life falls and the Sky Elders unleash their armies, giant monsters walk the earth, and the Elder Gods themselves march to war.
