Kwon Yeo-Sun

This is not a murder story. It is the story of those left behind. Seventeen years ago, Da-on's older sister was killed on her way home from school. The crime shocked the entire community, but although two boys were questioned no one was ever charged. The case went cold. Growing up in her dead sister's shadow, Da-on's life has never been the same. She is haunted by this single event, as are two of her sister's classmates.
Through these three distinct voices, a complex picture of a victim, a crime and its unpredictable aftermath emerges. Lemon is a timely exploration of privilege, jealousy, trauma and how we live with the wrongs we have endured and inflicted in turn.
