Stig Guldberg

Jens Quistgaard (1919-2008) is one of the most influential designers of the Scandinavian Modern style, whose thirty years as chief designer at the American company Dansk Designs resulted in more than 4,000 iconic product designs. His design philosophy-that utilitarian, everyday items should be both functional and beautiful-influenced his approach to everything from flatware and saucepans to crockery and pepper mills, many of which have gone on to become internationally recognized design icons.
