Acupuncturist Ray Zywicky hired Kevin Kendall (Chutes) five months ago as his clinic herbalist. Chutes is a good practitioner but frustrated because nobody ever takes his herbal advice. Pete, Chutes' best friend and snowboarding buddy, thinks Chutes would be happier as a professional snowboarder. To prove his point, he challenges Chutes to compete with him in the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom, a world-famous race for the world's most gnarly racers.
