Jamie and her young daughter, Kay, get trapped in a particularly treacherous blizzard. They take shelter in their home, and are surprised by a stranded motorist who appears on her doorstep. He is an unusual man, with a mysterious past. But they are soon plunged into danger, when they receive another surprise visit to the house - an armed home intruder.
