Jack Silince

Jack Brooke suddenly realised that he was getting closer to the dark hole and his face puckered up in absolute terror. The next thing he knew was that he was falling through the dark. He let out a wild, terrible scream, knowing that he was about to die. His scream echoed up and hung in the air like some malignant ghost and then it suddenly came to an end, followed immediately by a distant thud. Deep, deep down in the dark, Jack Brooke lay, broken and silent.
