Now, former soldier-turned-yeoman farmer Henn of Blackrush finds himself called out of his new, prosperous, and frankly-dull life to the capital of Staghome by an old friend. Here, he joins an secret group including the mounted-warrior Dunna of Clasphand, the secretive diplomat Ghao of the court of the Dan Empire, on a secret mission into the far north lands to help preserve that new peace and prosperity.
