Rowan had never wanted to become a member of the dark realm's royal guard; however, the Dark Queen had fostered him and would not take no for an answer. Somehow, he became the most trusted confidant of Queen Elsbet. The main benefit of this is the opportunity to meet the Queen's great-grandchildren, more specifically, Elyisum. When an evil enemy is defeated, somehow members of both the light and dark royal families are left comatose.
