Fifteen years after the human victory over the vampires, the nation is still in a state of disarray, slowly returning to something resembling normalcy. The surviving members of the government agency responsible for the victory have dispersed and most have vanished. Alex Chance, the Nemesis, has retired to an isolated cabin in Colorado, living alone after the untimely death of his wife, and is content until he senses the presence of vampires once again.
He returns to the agency with only a few of his former compatriots remaining and the fight begins anew with a more powerful vampire master, a memorable presence from another dimension, now facing them as the ultimate opposition.
