The Best of All Possible Planets
Far From Now, In a Galaxy Really, Really Close. The last denizens of Earth, aka Planet Dirt, have a problem. Their protective force shield is breaking, which will mean annihilation. Now it's up to a small group of intrepid dilettantes to procure a new one. From planet to planet, danger to danger, and stupid choice to stupid choice, the team blunders their way across the galaxy, trying to save the day and survive the trip.
Don't let the Call to Adventure go to voicemail. Follow the corgis!Praise for The Best of All Possible Planets:"The Airplane! of written space opera. ... There is a Douglas Adams-y quality to The Best of All Possible Planets, but Shvartsman is a better writer (yes, I said it)." - Locus"An irreverently quirky space odyssey . encounter more goofball aliens than George Lucas could pack into the Mos Eisley cantina on ladies' night." - Kirkus Reviews"I haven't had this much fun reading a book since.well, honestly, I can't remember.
A rollicking space adventure complete with eminently satisfying references to and parodies of the greatest science fiction stories of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries." - Rachel Cordasco, SF In TranslationNo one but Alex Shvartsman could have pulled off this comic tour de force. His distinctive narrative voice smirks at you from every page - and you'll be smirking right back at him. Clever, astute, and an enormous amount of fun.
Enjoy!-Robert J. Sawyer, Hugo Award-winning author of The DownloadedAbsolutely hilarious! I laughed out loud many times while reading it.-Leah Cypess, Nebula and World Fantasy Award nominated author of Future Me Saves the World (and Ruins my Life)Witty and satiric in the same vein as Douglas Adams. Don't miss out on Planets, it's definitely worth the ride.-Gini Koch, The Alien/Katherine "Kitty" Katt series
