Euphoricite - Life Inside the Jewel
The Genie tossed a softly glowing light green jewel into the air, as though she were lightly tossing a ball. It stopped right above my heart, four feet above it in the air. Then, this jewel started to glow more brightly. My body started to levitate toward that jewel. My cells started to get excited. A smile slowly started to form on my face. As I levitated, my sheet fell from covering me. And, I was inwardly relieved that I was now wearing my robe."Not right!" cried one of the tall ones.
He slowly reached toward the jewel."Leave it!" rumbled a deep voice, deeper than any I had ever heard."The stone should be coming to him, not him to the stone, " argued that tall one."I know!" the deep voice rumbled. "Leave it!" My body started to flow into the jewel. I quickly wrapped my robe more tightly about myself."No!" one of the elves cried, as I went further and further into the jewel."Let it be!" rumbled the Wizard Gremolt. I was enthralled.
My heart grew big. This feeling was exhilarating. The jewel sang its name, Euphoricite, as it continued to draw me into itself. Each drop of my soul sang back my new name as I passed into my new life. I had been Jake. Now, I was Elthan of Euphoricite. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But, it had to be better than my current boring life.
