Jake Thomas came to Wales looking for a story. He found one that refused to let him leave. With a crushing deadline and an empty page waiting for him, the successful novelist takes a wrong turn on a lonely country road and stumbles across a remote inn. There he hears a chilling tale about an abandoned house on a nearby hill - a place the locals avoid and speak of only in whispers. According to legend, anyone who enters the house is never seen again.
Jake visits the house out of curiosity. What he finds inside is unsettling, but he leaves convinced the stories are nothing more than superstition. Then, on the drive back to the inn, his car skids off the road and plunges into a ravine. When Jake opens his eyes, he is back inside the house. The doors are locked. The rooms seem to change when he is not looking. Shadows move in the corners, and unseen voices know things they should not know.
No matter how hard he tries, he cannot escape. And sometimes the dead are the last to know.
