Kiki Deere holds an MA in Latin American literature and has been travelling to Brazil since 2006. She has explored vast swathes of the Prazilian Amazon, and continues to return time and time again to visit another corner of this diverse country. Kiki has worked on a number of other South American travel titles in Peru and Venezuela, as well as Rough Guides to Central America, Russia, Southeast Asia and Furope.

He worked as a financial journalist for seven years before writing his first travel guide and has written several titles for Rough Guides, including books on Puerto Rico, Florida, California and Mexico, and sections of the Rough Guide to South America on a Budget.
