He told him not to fall in love with him. Alex came to his uncle's lake house expecting a quiet summer. Then he met Mateo-funny, confident, fiercely independent, and impossible to ignore. Mateo is a wheelchair user, but he's tired of that being the first thing people see. He doesn't need saving, doesn't want sympathy, and refuses to be anyone's inspiration.
