Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is widely known as a writer and broadcaster for his uncompromising commitment to real food and honest home cooking. His series for Channel 4 television - including A Cook on the Wild Side, T V Dinners and most recently the River Cottage programmes - have earned Hugh a huge popular following. His last book, The River Cottage Cookbook, was welcomed by critics as one of the most original food books for years and scooped the top food writing awards in 2002, winning the GlenfiddichTrophy, the André Simon Food Book of the Year and the Guild of Food Writers' Michael Smith Award. Hugh lives in Dorset with Marie and their sons Oscar and Freddie.
