Résumé

Ex-Government Assassin John Rain is trying to leave his violent post behind him... But when bis former employer, the CIA, trucks him down in Brazil, he is persuaded to take on a high-risk assignment well suited to his particular skills : to end a man's life leaving no trace of murder ; to bring death by naturel causes. This time, it's clear, the man deserves to die and Rain sees the job as a shot at redemption. But before he can even get close, he'll need all of his formidable talents simply to survive. Because Rain is not the only killer closing in on the target - and it could be that the entire mission is an elaborate cover for an even more sinister set-up. From the casinos of Macau to the deadly backstreets of Hong Kong, Choke Point is a brilliantly realized international thriller : gripping, atmospheric and meticulously researched.
