Welcome to the Waerd World. Documented in the Historical Documents Unit of the Vercade Institute lies many a tale of sword and sacrifice. 'The Cult of Brittany' is no different. In this mysterious new world, danger is always around the corner. Loren Restler saw this first hand on her first expedition as a Historian for the Institute. Her excursion was to a small place past the deadly white trees, known by the locals as Terinimus Grove.
Upon entering, she quickly learned of their strange practices and rituals in service of a deity they called 'Brittany'. Citing ancient scrolls that had to be updated through constant transcription. Loren's time in the Grove became increasingly more worrisome due to the rampant, almost casual violence and terror that the followers of Brittany inflicted on not just her, but other outsiders as well. Her escape was an extreme risk, but she made it out alive to tell the tale of her heroics here in this book.
The two shorter stories following, titled 'The Cursed Land' and 'Jimus The Wizard' come from people who didn't share the same fate as Loren. Read on to find out more about the Waerd World full of Wytches, Goblitons, Argres and evil, living environments that only the savvy can survive.
