The frontier town of Gullbrand is under observation from an unknown enemy. Vadim is a simple huntsman who sells his wares at the market in town. But when a fellow veteran of a war long past makes his way into Gullbrand, he finds himself fascinated by Jarog, an orc and a recent import to the town. Two men who once fought on opposite sides of the war now find themselves fighting their attraction to one another. But when a figure from Vadim's past shows himself, they find it's not so simple as giving in to their feelings.
This figure rises up to threaten not only Vadim or Jarog themselves, but the entire town of Gullbrand with the monsters at his command. Will the two of them fight together to save the town and the love growing between them?
