In London, an Auschwitz survivor is murdered, his left arm severed. Across the Atlantic, an Enigma machine is stolen. In Prague, a seemingly worthless painting disappears from a synagogue. To former art thief Tom Kirk, the Prague case seems unremarkable. Then the painting turns up alongside the amputated arm. As Tom digs deeper, he discovers an elaborate trail of clues laid clown by a secret order of SS knights at the end of the Second World War - clues that stretch from the remote mountains of Idaho to the snowy streets of St Petersburg, leading to a fabled treasure shrouded in evil.

Biographie de James Twining

James Twining graduated from Oxford University with a first class degree in French Literature. After a brief career in investment banking, he set up his own business and was eventually named as one of the eight 'Best of Young British' Entrepreneurs in The New Statesman magazine. James lives in London with his wife and daughter. The Black Sun is his second novel.
