Résumé

Java Connector Architecture presents the Java Connector Architecture (JCA) specification, a framework for building adapters and connectors that extend application integration capabilities of J2EE compliant application servers such as BEA's WebLogic and IBM's Web Sphere. You'll learn the definition and role of adapters in enterprise application integration. You'll also analyze and define the scope in which a JCA adapter operates and develop a JCA resource adapter from scratch using an adapter development methodology and adapter design model. Author Atul Apte provides information about testing and deploying adapters in a production environment as well as planning for customization of adapters.
