Résumé

Bathroom graffiti is more than just ink on a wall or a stall. Go on in and check it out. It's okay, we knocked, no one's in there. There are enough chapters for everyone, covering the United States, Canada and Mexico. Gaze into the men's room, the women's room and the identity-defying unisex bathroom. Get your dose of political and philosophical musings in the chapters "Politikal Asylum " " Apokalupsis Now" and "Random Firing Neurons." From the thoughtlessly poignant tro the poetically charged, the scrawls, missives, doodles, caffeine-fueled harangues and drunkenly-dented maxims within herald voices free from corporate confines and mass media mindsets.
Bathroom Graffiti overflows with invaluable cultural sentiments because at essence, these anonymous sages care only for the act of expression-what you make of their thoughts is up to you.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Mark Ferem

A native Califonian, Mark Ferem has spent the majority of his life living and working in Los Angeles. From 1992 to 1995 he worked as an art director at a Houston, TX, advertising agency, where he won a National Addy Award. After trips to Mayan ruins, Stonehenge and the Vatican, Ferem's interests shifted to the ritual and culture of the human condition. This led to his decade-long, nation-wide pursuit of latrinalia.
Since returning to Los Angeles in 1995, Ferem has freelanced in order to fond his bathroom graffiti project. His photojoumalism has been featured in Beautiful Decay, Adbusters,Vapors, The Los Angeles Journal and elsewhere.
